Dont have any apps to compare it to but I am making progress. Sometimes it skips not sure if that is from jostling too much or interference from reminders or what

Great way to get back to running!

I had never run before trying this app and now every time I take a break from running I use this app to get back to it!

5K is amazing!!!

If you want to feel comfortable while starting to run again, then this is the app for you. There is no stress involved as you carry on your journey to the body you want to achieve. Keep up the great work!!!

Awesome App

Keeps me feeling the accomplishment with each gradual level increase!! Thanks for a great app!!! Only minor comment would be is that the sound doesnt always come through. Other than that.......FABULOUS!!!

No Apocalypse Necessary

I have been an avid "I hate running" kind of person. When my mom started running (and has since run at 4+ marathons and countless other races from 5k to half marathons) people ask me "do you run also?" And I give a hearty laugh and say short of "hell no". Ive been know to utter the phrase "I dont run unless something ischasing me" or "if you see me running, you should be too" [because hell has frozen over and were all in trouble]. So when I decided, after weighing all my options (and my 20lbs heavier self) running seemed like the best fit for what my life could handle right now. I have a toddler and need to get the most out of what little time is available to me to get myself back in shape. The tipping point was having to constantly update my wardrobe because a pair of pants or a shirt no longer fit. I digress. The other handful of times [two] I have attempted this whole running thing, I push myself too hard and have ended up hurting myself further confirming my dislike for the sport. I know, I know, the phrase self fulfilling prophecy comes to mind. Ive heard of these couch to 5k apps and figured that might be my best shot this time around. I looked at a couple options but I like the clear and organized approach of the Fitness22 app offers. I like that I can listen to music in any other app while I have the Fitness22 apps running. I like that it tracks each workout with a bunch of stats. I like the text and audio prompts. I finished my second week of training today and have signed up for my first 5K (of my adult life anyway) happening in May. Its hosted by a brewery so it combines my new attempts of an active lifestyle with the food and drink habit I aiming to support. In addition, Ive downloaded several other of the Fitness22 apps. Ive been really happy with them. I do wish the apps transitioned from one to the next more automatically to build a complete workout without having to stop to switch apps. But thats pretty much my only suggestion. Well that and more compatibility with fitness tracking devices like Fitbit. The moral of the story is that with this running app, Ive made it far further than ever before in my pursuit of running.

First 5k, Excellent app

This is an excellent app for gaining for a 5k. You can set you weight, height, etc. and it will track your run via gps. It is was a little hard to find but you can also play your music though the app during your run. My only complaint would be better information around when you should do your 3-day a week run. Maybe a calendar integration would help with this.

This app really helped me with my stamina. I could barely run for a minute when I started and now Im at 20 mins non stop.

Awesome app

I just finished my first day on my forth week. I started off not being able to run a full minute and dreading exercise. Now I find 2 minute runs easy and working out has fit into my daily routine with the 30 minute runs.

Love love love this app!

Using this app, I went from not being able to run for 30 seconds straight without getting tired and hating running to running for 30 minutes straight and completing my first 5k (2.5 miles) without resting! This probably took me around 2 months, and wow thats such an improvement! I feel better, I look better, and boy does this work. They key to making this app work for you is consistency! You cant expect to improve without putting in a little effort each day! Also, this is so important: run when its comfortable outside! Youre more likely to quit if you run and its hot and you have the sun beating down so run when its cool and remember to hydrate! Also: go at your own pace! I cant stress this enough! When you start this app, try a slow jogging pace instead of pushing yourself to run fast! The more comfortable you are the more likely you will stick with it! As for the specs, I like the little motivational speaker that tells you to keep going and the design is well organized. I think its be cool to get daily motivational quotes not just reminders to run. I love this app! Now on to the 10k one!

Sounds issues

Having some issues hearing the voice instructions over my music.

Great app

This is a great app, I use to work out about 5 days a week, but took a few years off and have been trying to get back in shape, I couldnt run for **** but this breaks it up into great work outs that push you but just enough and not over do it. Its great for beginners

Awesome program

This running program got me off the couch. I lost 30 pounds and ran my first 5k (came in 4th in womens division) and I already have more scheduled. Im 54 years old and have never felt better. Dont think about it just do it!!!

Not good if you need music

This app is great if you dont need to listen to music or podcasts while you walk & run. Ive tried everything I can I think of to get this to work, but its so frustratingly inconsistent that I cant use it. I need to listen to something and the sound that tells you to run frequently goes silent, or if it does work it turns off your music/podcast.

Best way to learn to love running!

I used to hate running! I hated feeling winded and not knowing when to push forward and when to rest. This app takes all the guess work out! It slowly builds your endurance so you dont ever feel completely beaten down. Youll end each session feeling accomplished! Im halfway through and feeling great! Highly recommend.

Pretty close to perfect

The app is great. Easy to use, etc. My only complaint is that the beep notifications dont always come through, even if I make sure my phone isnt on silent.
